Code execution via unchecked pause-command index
Published Jul 2, 2026 · Updated Jul 2, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in GeoVision GeoWebPlayer 1.1.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted WebSocket message. The pause-command handler converts the message's integer index and uses it without a range check to access the crit_sections and array_of_IPCams arrays, including an out-of-bounds function-pointer call. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious webpage that reaches the installed WebSocket server; successful code runs in the GeoWebPlayer process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
