CVE-2026-57259Network attack vector

Local file disclosure via XDP external entities

Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026

XXE in Foxit PDF Editor and PDF Reader for Windows allows remote attackers to read local files through a crafted XDP document. The applications pass XDP/XML content disguised as a PDF to an XML parser with external entity resolution enabled, allowing entity URIs to resolve to local paths.
