Information disclosure and crash via malformed image buffer
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in Foxit PDF Editor and Reader for Windows allow attackers to disclose information or crash the application via crafted PDFs. An abnormal image object sends the renderer down the wrong processing branch, where scan-line conversion uses an invalid image-buffer pointer. Opening the crafted PDF is required; affected releases are PDF Reader 2026.1.1 and earlier and PDF Editor 13.2.4, 14.0.4, and 2026.1.1 and earlier.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
