Unauthenticated replication-data disclosure via missing streaming interceptor
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected self-hosted Temporal releases allows remote attackers to read workflow replication data through the frontend port. The frontend gRPC server builds its streaming interceptor chain without the authorization interceptor, so AdminService/StreamWorkflowReplicationMessages accepts credential-free requests. Exposure requires configured ClaimMapper and Authorizer components, network access, a valid replication target, and knowledge of cluster IDs and peer membership; Temporal Cloud is unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.24.0 <=1.28.3
- Affected versionversion=1.24.0 <=1.29.5
