CVE-2026-57220Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated broker crash via oversized stream frames

Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026

Denial of service in RabbitMQ Server 4.2.0 through 4.2.5 allows remote attackers to crash the broker through the stream listener. Before authentication, rabbit_stream_core accepts an attacker-declared frame length without enforcing the configured 1 MiB limit and repeatedly appends partial frame data in broker memory. Exploitation requires the first-party rabbitmq_stream plugin to be enabled and reachable, and memory exhaustion interrupts the broker or its host node.
