Unauthenticated code execution via non-ASCII filename bypass
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 1.3.9.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. When custom blacklist types are set, the plugin replaces its default dangerous-extension denylist, and wpcf7_antiscript_file_name() fails to sanitize non-ASCII filenames. An unauthenticated upload form must be reachable with a custom blacklist configured; a PHP payload can then execute with the web server's privileges.
