Remote memory corruption via unbounded payload-type indexing
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in Teluu PJPROJECT 2.17 and earlier allows remote attackers to corrupt memory or crash applications via crafted SDP. assign_pt_and_update_map() accepts payload-type values above 127 from SDP attributes and subtracts 96 before indexing fixed-size mapping tables. The path requires PJMEDIA_SDP_NEG_MAINTAIN_REMOTE_PT_MAP, which is disabled by default; demonstrated impact is memory corruption and application crash, not code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
