Forged webhooks via fail-open signature checks
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Authentication bypass in PraisonAI before 4.6.59 allows remote attackers to forge WhatsApp and Linear webhook events. The WhatsApp and Linear handlers guard HMAC checks with secret-presence tests, then parse and dispatch unsigned bodies when the secret is unset. Network access to an enabled webhook route is sufficient to impersonate platform users, influence agent actions, and interrupt bot processing.
