Unauthenticated file read via untrusted mfile paths
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Path traversal in CodeDropz Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 1.3.9.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to read files. dnd_wpcf7_posted_data() appends each client-supplied mfile[] value to an upload URL, while dnd_cf7_mail_components() converts it to a filesystem path and accepts it based only on file_exists(). No authentication is required, and traversal is constrained to wp-content by Contact Form 7's wpcf7_is_file_path_in_content_dir() check; readable files are disclosed as email attachments.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
