Permission bypass in the Android kernel VPU allows local users with System execution privileges to gain elevated privileges. The VPU component omits a permission check before performing a privileged operation requested by the caller. Exploitation requires an existing process with System execution privileges, needs no user interaction, and grants higher local privileges.
