Unauthenticated command execution via firewallType interpolation
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A7100RU 7.4cu.2313_b20191024 allows remote attackers to execute commands via firewallType. The setFirewallType handler inserts firewallType into a command buffer with snprintf, then CsteSystem reaches execv without neutralizing shell syntax. Network access to the CGI endpoint is sufficient; successful requests run attacker-selected operating-system commands in the router firmware context.
