Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized tz parameter
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A7100RU 7.4cu.2313_b20191024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via crafted NTP settings. The setNtpCfg path in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi copies the tz parameter through snprintf into a command buffer that CsteSystem ultimately runs with execv(). No prior privileges or user interaction are required; successful requests execute commands on the router and can read or alter its data or interrupt service.
