Viewer-level workflow mutation via read-scope authorization
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in n8n before 1.123.55, 2.25.7, and 2.26.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter evaluation test runs. Three mutating evaluation test-run controller endpoints authorize start, cancel, and delete operations with workflow:read instead of workflow:execute. Exploitation requires Advanced Permissions with projects and a project:viewer account, and permits unauthorized run creation, interruption, and record deletion.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
