Authenticated cross-user disclosure via unchecked user identifier
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Broken access control in NewsBlur before 14.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' private social interactions. The load_interactions view passes a GET /social/interactions user_id to MInteraction.user without matching it to request.user. Exploitation requires a valid account and another user's numeric identifier, and exposes follows, replies, and other social activity returned by the endpoint.
