HTML injection via unvalidated JSX attribute names
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
HTML injection in Hono before 4.12.14 allows remote attackers to inject unintended markup through untrusted JSX attribute keys. The hono/jsx server-side renderer escapes attribute values but inserts attribute names into generated HTML without validating quotes, angle brackets, or whitespace. Exploitation requires an application to use attacker-controlled data as JSX attribute keys; the bounded result is injected attributes or elements, with script execution only under additional unsafe usage patterns.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
