Payment redirection via unchecked storage-supplied output scripts
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Improper transaction validation in @bsv/wallet-toolbox before 2.4.0 allows malicious storage providers to redirect signed payments. The main, client, and mobile packages sign non-change locking scripts returned by StorageClient without comparing them with createAction requests. Exploitation requires an active malicious or compromised remote storage provider and can transfer funds to substituted or injected outputs while the intended recipient remains displayed.
