CVE-2026-5674Public exploit

Sandbox escape via unrestricted LADSPA library loading

Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026

Sandbox escape in PipeWire's PulseAudio compatibility layer allows local users in a sandbox to execute code on the host. The module-ladspa-sink loader passes an attacker-controlled plug-in path to dlopen() without restricting library searches to trusted host directories. Access to the PulseAudio socket plus a writable host-visible path lets a low-privilege sandboxed process load a malicious library outside its isolation boundary.
