Authenticated profile disclosure via unchecked user ID
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Missing authorization in Camaleon CMS 2.9.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read other users' profile data. The Admin::UsersController#profile action is excluded from validate_role and loads the request's arbitrary user_id without an ownership check. Any authenticated account can enumerate sequential IDs to disclose usernames, email addresses, roles, and custom fields, including administrator profiles.
