Authenticated code execution via permissive upload allowlist
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Adminer before 5.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through AdminerFileUpload. The plugin's optional end-anchored extension regex accepts every filename, and its permissive default preserves PHP extensions when moving uploads. Execution as the web-server user requires an _path column and an uploadPath that the web server exposes and interprets as PHP.
