Scoped-admin privilege escalation via forged channel callback
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Incorrect authorization in NanoCo NanoClaw before 2.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to connect channels to unauthorized agent groups. The handleChannelApprovalResponse handler accepts forged or stale connect callback values without checking the approver's admin rights on the named target group. Scoped-admin access to one group is sufficient to wire an unapproved messaging channel to another group, enabling unauthorized observation or control of restricted group activity.
