Root command execution via OS Repository processing
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
OS command injection in Dell PowerFlex Manager before 4.5.5.2 and before 5.1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. During OS Repository processing, the appliance passes repository data to an OS command without neutralizing command elements; Dell has not disclosed the underlying function. A high-privileged account and remote workflow access are required, while successful exploitation compromises the appliance and enables lateral movement into managed infrastructure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <4.5.5.2 or later
