Stored XSS via unchecked Login V2 redirect
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Stored XSS in ZITADEL Login V2 4.0.0 through 4.15.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code in users' browsers. The OIDC and SAML FailedPrecondition handlers pass loginSettings.defaultRedirectUri to router.push without isSafeRedirectUri validation. Organization or instance administrator access is required to store a javascript or data URI, and a user must reach an affected error path; the resulting script runs in that user's browser.
