Internal response disclosure via unchecked update URL

Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026

Server-side request forgery in UpdateCE through 1.4 for GetSimple CMS Community Edition allows remote authenticated users to read internal HTTP responses. The update handler checks only URL syntax before fetching the destination and writes the response to a web-accessible Tmpfile.zip, leaving non-ZIP content there. Administrator access to the update form is required; an internal service or metadata endpoint must return content for disclosure.
