CVE-2026-56599

Session hijacking via insecure cookie attributes

Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026

Insecure cookies in HCL BigFix Service Management Version 27 allow local users to hijack sessions through browser-mediated attacks. The application omits SameSite, HttpOnly, Secure, or restrictive Path attributes from security-sensitive cookies, weakening cross-site, script-access, transport, and cookie-scope boundaries. HCL's assessment requires low-privilege access and victim interaction; XSS-assisted cookie theft additionally depends on script execution in the victim's browser.
