CVE-2026-56590Network attack vector

Server compromise via unrestricted malicious file upload

Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in HCL BigFix Service Management 27 allows remote attackers to execute payloads and compromise the server. The file-upload path applies improper validation to attacker-supplied files, accepts a dangerous payload, and permits its execution, although HCL has not identified the affected endpoint. HCL describes the uploader as unauthenticated, while its CVSS assessment requires low privileges and user interaction; the published record does not reconcile this access gate.
