Unauthorized actions and data access via permissive CORS
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Permissive CORS in HCL DevOps Deploy 8.1 through 8.1.2.6 and 8.2 through 8.2.1.0 allows remote attackers to retrieve sensitive data. The server's CORS policy does not restrict allowed origins to trusted domains, enabling a hostile origin to submit privileged requests and read responses. Exploitation requires user interaction; the documented consequences are unauthorized actions and sensitive-information retrieval, not service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
