CVE-2026-56447Network attack vector

Site-admin code execution via rdkafka config path

Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026

Code execution in MISP 2.5.41 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with site-admin access to execute code through Kafka configuration. The Kafka_rdkafka_config setting accepts an arbitrary filesystem path, parses the referenced INI file, and passes its options to rdkafka, where plugin.library.paths loads an external library. Site-administrator privileges and an attacker-controlled file in a MISP-writable location are required; loaded code runs with the MISP process privileges.
