CVE-2026-56428Network attack vector

Root access via embedded SSH public key

Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026

Authentication bypass in BSH ELP modules before 65.2.12 allows remote attackers to gain root-level access through the SSH service. The firmware places a non-revocable public key in root's authorized_keys file, causing sshd to trust the matching private key as root. Exploitation requires possession of that private key and network access to TCP port 22, after which appliance data, software, and service availability fall under root control.
