Stored script execution via raw settings labels
Published Jun 21, 2026 · Updated Jun 21, 2026
Stored XSS in Craft CMS 4.x before 4.17.0-beta.1 and 5.x before 5.9.0-beta.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The checkbox.twig and radio.twig templates render labels as raw content, while related UI helpers insert option text without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires administrator access and allowAdminChanges enabled; opening an affected control-panel screen runs the stored payload in another user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
