Information disclosure via failed invitation coercion
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Information disclosure in Capgo before 12.128.2 allows remote attackers to expose internal processing details via a malformed invitation token. The /private/accept_invitation handler queries tmp_users and coerces an empty result into a single JSON object, returning the resulting database error in an HTTP 500 response. Only the public key is required; malformed magic_invite_string values expose lookup and coercion details and generate server errors without changing data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
