Preview interruption via wildcard app ID lookup
Published Jun 20, 2026 · Updated Jun 20, 2026
Improper input validation in Capgo before 12.128.2 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt app previews via crafted app IDs. The preview.ts resolver passes an underscore-bearing appId to PostgREST ilike() and then single(), so the SQL wildcard can match multiple rows and return app_not_found. Exploitation requires permission to create a colliding app ID and an underscore-bearing target with preview enabled; the demonstrated consequence is preview unavailability.
