CVE-2026-56285Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated internal resource disclosure via forgeable proxy signatures

Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026

SSRF in Nitter before commit 44b2f09 allows remote attackers to read HTTP responses from server-reachable hosts through /video. The /video route accepts any URL containing “http,” then uses the shipped secretkey value to verify a truncated HMAC and proxies the response. Exploitation requires an internet-reachable instance still using the default key and exposes cloud metadata or internal-service responses.
