CVE-2026-56259Network attack vector

Credential exfiltration via attacker-controlled LLM endpoint

Published Jul 12, 2026 · Updated Jul 12, 2026

Credential exposure in Crawl4AI before 0.8.8 allows remote attackers to steal server secrets through unauthenticated Docker API endpoints. The /md, /llm, and /llm/job handlers honor a request-supplied base_url while attaching configured provider keys, and LLMConfig resolves env:-prefixed api_token values through os.getenv. Default Docker API deployments require no authentication, enabling disclosure of provider keys or JWT SECRET_KEY and subsequent authentication bypass.
