Privilege escalation via normalized upload-path traversal
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Path traversal in Capgo before 12.128.2 allows remote authenticated users with build permissions to access internal builder endpoints. The upload proxy handler appends an unvalidated path suffix to the builder URL, and fetch normalizes traversal segments before forwarding the request with the privileged builder API key. A valid build job is required; successful requests can retrieve build metadata or manipulate internal build jobs.
