Security policy bypass via missing initiator 2FA check
Published Jun 20, 2026 · Updated Jun 20, 2026
Authentication logic flaw in Capgo before 12.128.2 allows remote authenticated users to enforce team-wide 2FA without personal 2FA. The backend team-security policy path accepts the organization-wide requirement without checking whether the initiating account has 2FA enabled. Access to team or organization security settings is required; the change forces member enrollment and creates lockout risk while an unprotected administrator retains policy control.
