Authenticated service interruption via excessive upload allocation
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Elastic Fleet Server 8.0.0 through 8.19.10 and 9.0.0 through 9.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The upload endpoint processes a specially crafted request by allocating excessive memory without an effective limit or throttle. A valid low-privileged Fleet credential is required; enough consumed memory makes Fleet Server unavailable, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.19.10
