CVE-2026-56143Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Node denial of service via excessive memory allocation

Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026

Resource exhaustion in Elastic Elasticsearch 8.0.0 through 8.19.19 and 9.0.0 through 9.2.8 allows remote authenticated users to cause node unavailability. Elastic has not disclosed the request type or allocation path; the crafted request consumes excessive memory without an effective resource limit. Elevated Elasticsearch privileges are required, and all configurations in the affected releases are exposed to node-level availability loss.
