Unauthenticated account takeover via predictable restore codes
Published Jun 19, 2026 · Updated Jun 19, 2026
Predictable restore codes in affected JetBrains Hub releases allow remote attackers to take over user accounts without authentication. The account-restore code generator uses a cryptographically weak pseudorandom number generator, producing codes that lack sufficient unpredictability. Network access to the Hub service is sufficient; successful use of a predicted code grants control under the target account's existing privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
