Authenticated code execution via unchecked strcpy
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Belkin F9K1015 1.00.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted webpage parameter. The formSetPassword handler passes the user-controlled p_reboot_msg value to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing the stack buffer reboot_msg. Low-privileged access to the web management interface is required; successful exploitation grants firmware-level code execution or crashes the device.
