Out-of-bounds read in NTFS-3G 2026.2.25 and earlier allows local users to disclose process memory via a crafted NTFS image. The ntfs_ir_nill() function in libntfs-3g/index.c performs an out-of-bounds memmove while clearing a malformed index root after creation of a file with a crafted name. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a malicious NTFS image, and the bounded impact is disclosure of data from the ntfs-3g process.
