Authenticated SQL injection via unchecked SqlTool queries
Published Apr 5, 2026 · Updated Apr 5, 2026
SQL injection in Griptape Framework 0.19.4 SqlTool allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through generated queries. The execute_query activity passes its sql_query value directly to sql_loader.load without checking that it is a SELECT statement or limiting it to the configured table. Reachability depends on a consuming application exposing the tool to remote input, while database permissions bound resulting reads, writes, or service interruption.
