CVE-2026-55954Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated account takeover via unvalidated ID token claims

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Authentication bypass in ueberauth_apple 0.1.0 through 0.6.1 allows remote attackers to take over accounts via replayed Apple ID tokens. Token.payload/2 verifies the JWT signature but returns claims without validating iss, aud, exp, iat, or nonce, and handle_callback!/1 derives identity from the unchecked sub value. Exploitation requires an Apple-signed token bearing the victim's sub and a usable authorization code; an expired token or one from a sibling client in the same developer team suffices.
