Cross-user modification via missing ownership predicates
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenReplay 1.27.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter other users' private notes and dashboards. The notes.delete query omits the caller user ID, while dashboards.update_widget and dashboards.remove_widget omit the dashboard owner predicate when selecting rows by sequential object IDs. Multi-tenancy and ordinary member access are required; exploitation deletes private notes or removes or rewrites private dashboard widgets without exposing their contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
