Authenticated command execution via unescaped SSH proxy
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Command injection in Argo CD repo-server allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted SSH repository proxy URL. The SSHCreds.Environ method embeds proxy host and port values into a shell-interpreted SSH ProxyCommand without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires permission to create or update a repository or credential template and an SSH repository connection test, clone, or fetch; commands run in the repo-server context and can read its Git, Helm, and OCI credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 2.11.0, <= 2.14.21
