Authenticated secret disclosure via sandboxed dataUrl file read
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Sensitive file disclosure in Pixel & Tonic Craft CMS 4 before 4.18.0 and 5 before 5.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to read files. The Twig sandbox permits dataUrl() in system-message templates, while Html::dataUrl() calls file_get_contents() after checks that omit dotfiles such as .env. Exploitation requires utility:system-messages permission and configured email; disclosed security keys support forged sessions and admin takeover.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
