Admin-session JavaScript execution via raw issue title
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
DOM XSS in Craft CMS 4.0.0-RC1 through 4.17.15 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.9.22 allows attackers to run JavaScript via issue titles. CraftSupportWidget.js passes raw GitHub API result.title text to jQuery's html option, which assigns it to innerHTML without encoding. Execution requires an administrator to return the poisoned issue in the CraftSupport Give feedback search, giving the payload the administrator's control-panel session and same-origin request authority.
