XML injection in Logto before 1.41.0 allows remote authenticated users to forge signed SAML attributes and escalate privileges. The packages/core SAML IdP passes user-controlled profile values to samlify 2.10.0 for raw substitution into XML element-text placeholders before signing. Exploitation requires low-privilege Logto access and a relying Service Provider that authorizes on SAML attributes, where forged roles are trusted.
