Unauthenticated command execution via unguarded MCP dispatch
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Missing authentication in Flytohub flyto-core 2.26.2 through 2.26.3 allows attackers to execute OS commands via HTTP MCP requests. The POST /mcp handler omits require_auth and forwards untrusted execute_module arguments to sandbox.execute_shell, which passes commands to asyncio.create_subprocess_shell. Access is local under the default loopback binding and remote with a non-loopback binding; execution inherits server-process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
