Authenticated workspace deregistration via missing endpoint authorization
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Missing authorization in Rocket.Chat's fingerprint endpoint allows remote authenticated users to deregister a workspace from Rocket.Chat Cloud. The POST handler in apps/meteor/app/api/server/v1/misc.ts requires authentication but never checks manage-cloud permission before removeAllCredentials clears cloud credentials and license settings. Any standard user account can trigger the operation, disabling licensed features, push delivery, and Marketplace connectivity until manual re-registration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
