Account takeover via Apple identity token replay
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Improper authentication in affected Rocket.Chat releases allows remote attackers to access a user's account with a replayed Apple identity token. The Apple Sign-In handler calls JWS.verify for signature verification but does not validate the token's issuer, audience, expiration, not-before time, or nonce. Exploitation requires possession of an Apple-signed identity token, after which the token remains replayable against the associated account.
